Therefore, if you have not yet taken the state exam, you MUST register for the full exam. Candidates are required to take both portions of the exam on the same day. Further information about the skills candidates may be tested on can be found in Headmaster's North Dakota Nursing Assistant Candidate Handbook.Ĭandidates looking to take the state exam can reserve their spot for a test date by submitting payment and a copy of Headmaster's CNA Application Form 1101ND.Ĭandidates who have NOT YET taken the full exam CANNOT register for only the written/knowledge portion or only the skills portion of the exam. Candidates completing either or both portions of the exam must be present at our facility to complete the exam. The skills portion is completed in a lab setting where candidates demonstrate three (3) or four (4) skills with an actor and a RN test examiner. The knowledge portion of the exam is completed on a computer with a test proctor. The state CNA exam is offered in two portions: the knowledge and the skills.
